Wilmington, NC – May 19, 2006 Artist/Designer Kate McRostie announced today that she is unveiling over 70 new images at Surtex in New York beginning on May 21. Many of her new designs have been inspired by her recent move back to the North Carolina coast from the mountains of Colorado. These designs include fanciful seahorses, lighthouses, and sea cottages and follow on the heels of Kate’s hugely successful Fisherman’s Catch collection of rustic shellfish.
In addition to the new coastal inspired collections, McRostie will also introduce her “Teeny Tiny Tots” collection of stylized babies that she feels will have an appeal within the greeting card market. New holiday, floral, and whimsical designs will also be on display.
“I have made several important changes within the past year, including the formation of my new company, Kate McRostie DesignWorks, Inc.,” stated McRostie,”The excitement I am experiencing from this is reflected in all of my new designs.”
